Bed Habits

Just a few questions. Do you:-

- Turn over your quilt or pillow every so often or move your head around to get the cold areas?
- Change the sheets once a week, once a month or just wait till they become part of the bed and throw another one on (you know who you are!)?
- Leave a limb - usually a foot - hanging over the edge?
- Lean back and rest your leg on something half way up the wall?
- When feeling down, eat a whole bag of potato chips in bed and then torture yourself by rolling around in the crumbs all night?
- Climb into bed all sweaty after a game, only showering the next day?
- Have items on a stand at the end of your bed and sometimes knock them over when stretching?
- Have all sorts of useful things roll under the bed just out of arms reach?
- Your cover sheet can only reach any 3 corners at a time - which corner will you give up on?
- In winter you go to sleep in sweats and wake up shvitzing?
- Play a prank by making an apple pie bed, where the undersheet is actually folded up half way down the bed, so that the prankee gets in and cannot move any further than that?
- Use more pillows to read than to sleep, or just sleep on a ridiculous amount of them scattered around your head?

Feel free to ignore. Or add more. Or just snore.

lol what a cute post. I can admit to a few of these. b"h not the ones having to do with hygeine. But I always manage to go to sleep without my covers and wake up freezing. and I use even more pillows to sleep than to read. Really cute post.

TRK... you are such a guy, lol. I dont do any of these! I dont like sleeping with pillows (although I have a million throw pillows) and I dont wear sweats to bed ever, I like down quilts. There is something, though... I wake up in very wierd positions sometimes. Sometimes Im half sitting and leaning on my hand when I wake up. Sometimes Im all twisted. I like this post. Its fun.

sometimes eat popcorn or cereal in bed but don't leave crumbs - also yuchy
never leave a limb hanging over the edge!

fun fun :)

what can i say about my bed- its a closet, a pantry, a movie theatre, a hangout, a work station--- its everything.

and the worst is sand in your bed- (if you go to the beach, and empty your beach bag on the bed.)

i always have my feet hanging off the end of the bed. My feet are stuck in shoes all day, they need time just to hang... i love the dangling feeling- dont like to be cooped-up in a bed, or maybe i need a bigger bed.

funny how everyone knows what your talking bout.

Totally with that last anon!

After working / chilling on bed, dump all stuff where i can find space and collapse and go to sleep. I'll wake up in exactly the same position but sometimes with the cover/s on the floor.

I like my room cold when I sleep, but then I curl up in a little ball in bed, snuggled under the covers. And lots of pillows :)

this was a cute post. I have to admit to some of these things, but thankfully none of the gross ones. I don't really have any wierd sleeping habits to share. Well, last year during my fanatic yoga moment I decided to try to sleep without a pillow. (it's good for your back) It may be good for your back but there is a point where my comfort is more important than my backs. I brought back the pillow.

i get into my freezing cold bed, and then warm up by laughing really, really hard and really, really long. my husband gets a kick out of it, and i get a good warmup/abdominal workout/emotional outlet all rolled into one.

Pillow-fight!!! Whose in?

ME, ME, ME! I miss a spanking good pillow fight - ah the joys of having to be all grown up...

Well, when I'm on the phone I lay with my leg resting against the cupboard on the wall... :)
And if I'm too tired to clean the clothes off my bed I'll just get in and pull the covers up till they fall off, but I think those are the only categories I fit into on your list.

I absolutely abhor crumbs or sand in my bed, there's no way I can sleep like that. Oh yeah, I found another one. I'm always losing my glasses/phone down the side of my bed.

Fun post, TRK. Gives me something to aspire to.

what a funny topic. I always feel around and turn over my blanket to get the cold spots!! A good quilt is way better than sweat pants unless the wind is really howling outside. And everything in my room has to be situated in close proximity to my bed

actually, i think i do all of those things, except for pranking someone.

ho ho! i think im with you on just about every one, rabbi's kid!

and noch, all this time i thought i was the only one who slept w/ one foot off the bed, turns the pillow over lookin for the 'cold' spot, can rarely get all 4 corners of the bed sheet on at once..

hehe o so wonderfully random

I sleep with my pet turtle [zoomba] and it tends to sometimes wander at night so i wake up with it all over the place. sometimes its weird waking up eyeball to eyeball with a turtle but one gets used to it. its worse when zoomba goes exploring at night or the absolute worse, when i roll over and squish him a bit [tough shell -he doesnt like it either...] ..no sand tho...
